Thank God the Tsunami never came….Hundreds died in Indo so I guess their hands will be out as usual…not that the victims nor their families will ever see any of it. People in the West please remember that their are more sterling millionaires in Jakarta than there are in the whole of Australia and most of that money comes from stealing IMF/Aid or just robbing foreign investors.
Last night I was having an unrousable on the couch when the building started to sway…trying to remain conscious was my main priority. Saw Ralph scared…she didn’t even wait to pack up her jewellery. Several minutes later though when it looked as if the worst was over I did pop back and get all the valuables. The conundrum was do we go back home into our earthquakeproof but very tall building or go to a low rise hotel and risk being squashed by just four stories should Armageddon come?
As you can see from the posts last night we chose home although we kept our bags packed in case we had to bolt. So pleased that no Tsunami came this time…. again we are all reminded of our own inconsequence when compared to Mother Nature.
Ralph is just on the phone to her family. 80% of the building in Nias where her father originates have been destroyed but again thankfully none of her immediate family were touched………
We all live to fight another day….. oh ya Da Wizard is off to Hong Kong today.

(CNN) — An earthquake measuring a preliminary magnitude of 8.2 struck off the coast of Indonesia Monday — on the same fault line that originated a December 26 earthquake that launched a deadly tsunami.
The director of the Pacific Tsunami Warning Center said scientists there feared another tsunami might hit the area.
Charles McCreary said he could not be certain that the quake, which was 30 km deep and 203 kilometer (126 miles) from Sibolga on Sumatra Island, would cause a tsunami.
“There is a potential for some wave activity,” said Julie Martinez, a geophysicist at the U.S. Geological Survey’s National Earthquake Information Center, in Golden, Colo.
God stamps his foot again. Just about 20 mins ago we evacuated our buildings because the earth shook the same as Boxing day. Now we are told that a Tsunami is going to hit Phuket is 20 minutes. I am agnostic but prayer might be a good idea. It looks like people are gonna die again tonight……

Now if they were working for an honest police force I would have no issue but they are working for a corrupt police force that murdered 2500 people this time last year without charges nor trial.
One of the best examples of the corruption is indeed these scumbags themselves. They are working illegally without work permits in Thailand but are allowed to because of their cub scout job that they are doing.
Life is hard enough here for us all, without animals like this. My disgust for these people cannot be put into words. There is no upside to what they do. They are not helping they are causing problems. What on earth could their motivation be?
We did a trip to Pattaya at the weekend. As you can see a Goat time was had by all. Several unrousables in public and indeed your truelly managed to actually have one whilst walking.
1. Imagine if all the Asians had no group to represent them collectively.
2. Imagine if when they set up legitimate business that the authorities came to them asking for back handers and created rules so that their businesses were always in a legal grey area.
3. Imagine if the Prime Minister who is head of “English love the English Party” referred to the Asians as ‘Slopes’ or ‘Chinks’ or ‘Pakis’ on TV as do 100% of the general populous. (Err ya and why do Pakis get stroppy when they are called Pakis but Brits and Aussies don’t?)
4. Imagine if Asians couldn’t own a car or land in England.
5. Imagine if only 100 Asians a year could get citizenship.
6. Imagine if that citizenship could be revoked at anytime.
7. Imagine if Asians were barred from political activity of any sort.
8. Imagine if when they were arrested Asians had no rights and that their embassies
accepted that this was the ‘British” way of doing things.
9. Imagine Asians who worked in England having their work permits made in such a way that they committed a crime everytime they legitamately worked.
Can you imagine the riots we would have?
Oh ya for the less quick whitted of you I am making a parody of our situation in Thailand….which by the way despite all that is perhaps the coolest place on the planet to live. So I have no rights? I don’t really want to exercise them anyway!!!
