Quite a droning set of Podcasts but Noam Chomsky really does prove himself to be the amazing brain that so many people claim he is. Not sure if any of my readers will have the time to listen to all this but this man clearly is a genius.
I always have this question in regards to these ‘rendition’ flights. Why on earth do we (ie the allies) have to send people to a foreign country to be interrorgated UNLESS its for torture??? There is no shortage of place to interrogate in the West. So what is the reason and more importantly why are the media not asking these questions all the time?
Top news today is that the US Supreme court says that holding the Muslim scum at Guantanamo is both against the constitution and the Geneva Convention…. now George says he is going to keep holding them?
Is there nothing that any court in the world can do against this madness??

I have a real difficulty in describing my own politics as I get described as being to the right of Attilla the Hun but also can find things that I support 100% in political maverics like Galloway. He reminds me a bit of Bily Connolly in the way he pitches but listen to this long podcast of nearly one hour. Its amusing and has lots of food for thought.
Send me your comments but please deal with the points he makes rather than just yell ‘anti American’.
I think Galloway’s comments in regard to Palestine are so true as he really is looking for solutions to this problem not just wanting to go Muz bashing. “No justice no peace” he shouts…. a very good point , but we need to have justice in a fair way not this terrible bias that our governments now have.

If you are not an American, why are you so concerned about our affairs? Why should a Bush conspiracy theory matter to you at all? Are we at war with white boys in Asia? Are you suggesting that the great and evil Bush is in bed with bin Laden and he convinced your hero to blow up America so we could go to war against him? Or are you suggesting bin Laden and his cronies had nothing at all to do with 9/11, even as they admit through their own breaths that they did? You talk like a man with a paper asshole.

Even an uneducated peasant American like yourself should be able to see that clearly I am against Islam ( ibelieve it to be an irrelevant superstition) so what part of your stagnant pond-life brain would imagine he is my hero? Of course Osama (trained by the CIA) had lots to do with 9/11 but try and read what I wrote (ask a friend to help you as you are clearly mentally deficient… or maybe not for an American) Yes America is at war with everyone who loves freedom. Ok ok so I am a bit slow on the uptake but Da Wizard does have lots of murky pools to paddle in and that my excuse and I am sticking to it.
This Podcast is a long but fascinating recording of a Blogger called Jacob Appelbaum who travelled to Iraq as a civilian and then went to work in New Orleans to cover the Katrina Disaster.
Listen to how naieve the interviewer is and how she doesn’t pick up on obvious points that Jacob makes. People can call Jacob for being slanted etc buthey in this interview he holds his hands up to doing reporting directly from his point of view. It’s a terrible shame that Fox and CNN don’t do the same.
The comparisons between downtown New Orleans and Iraq should make any US citizen tremble.
